* This updates our assimp version to v5.2.1
* This is needed because the latest assimp doesn't compile without some
patches :-/ The patches required and applied are listed in the README
located in extern/assimp.

All credit goes to Assimp. This is simply a stripped down version of their original source code with some minor patches to make it compile properly. The changes are listed below:

  • code/CMakeLists.txt line 1053, RT is intentionally not found because now Archlinux doesn't seem to be shipping it properly?
  • ZipArchiveIOSystem.cpp is patched thanks to brechtsander's patch. This issue is tracked at #4334.
